I had planned on writing something longer today, most likely about the Bulls. But due to the dreaded combination of a giant snowstorm that required constant shoveling, some random events popping up during the day and just simple procrastination, I have nothing. Instead, enjoy this classic Jordan video plus a mini-ranrt, my week 16 NFL picks and my apologies. I promise a preview of Monday nights Bears-Packers game, and maybe a little something extra, on Monday morning.
-One of the many things I miss about the ‘90s Bulls is the Bulls-Knicks rivalry. Growing up, I don’t think there was anything in the world I hated more than Pat Ewing, John Starks, Pat Riley and the Knicks. They were just physical and mean, compared to the Bulls’ confidence and swagger. I don’t remember the ’91, ’92 and ’93 playoffs- though I have seen many of the games later- but I have clear memories of the Hugh Hollins phantom-foul in ‘94, the double-nickel game from ’95, the Jeff Van Gundy ‘con man’ game in ‘97 and MJ’s final Garden appearance in ’98 when he wore the Jordan I’s. (Other little things I miss from the ‘90s Bulls include watching them on NBC with the best TV theme song ever, seeing opposing fans give the team a standing ovation after the Bulls just destroyed their squad, and hearing the great Ray Clay call the game at the old Stadium or UC.) Too bad the NBA doesn’t have rivalries like that today, and I’m not just saying that because I miss Bulls-Knicks.

My favorite part is 3:30 in, when Marv goes "Jordan, played well by Starks" while Jordan drains a 3 in Starks' eye.
