The Bulls-Celtics series, which is now headed for a Game 7 after Thursday night's triple-OT classic, deserves way more attention than I'm giving it. Because of school - I seriously had an important paper due in each of my five classes this week - I haven't had a chance to blog about it. And because it is nearly 2 AM right now, I have to work two jobs tomorrow (technically today) and I just finished writing this, I won't have much to blog this evening.
But know this: If you haven't watched this series, you are not a sports fan. If you haven't jumped around in pure joy or sank your head into your hands in shocking disappointment, you don't have a working heart beat. If you haven't sweat bullets or shouted curses or smiled ear-to-ear or frantically called friends or poured your heart and soul into something you have no control over, then you can't understand it. Because what the Bulls and Celtics are doing on a nightly basis is truly one of the most beautiful things in all of life, and for a die-hard fan like myself, it's been the greatest of gifts.
Game 7 will be played Saturday night, and I promise, win or lose, I will blog about it Sunday. Let's hope my heart beat can make it that long.
With apologies (and major props) to Brad Miller's threes, John Salmons' drives and Derrick Rose's block, here is the play of Game 6 by Mr. Noah:

What a game (based on all of the written reports I've found of course). Can you confirm that Doug Collins, after a steal, said that Kirk "performed the Hinrich manuever!"? And based on the video footage of Joakim's play, is he finally justifying taking him so high in the draft, or even him choosing that draft-day suit?
Saturday's gonna be crazy, Real Madrid are somehow only 4 points behind "the greatest team of all time, ever, really!" Barcelona and they play them in Madrid, for almost all the marbles. Then gm 7, at a time to be determined but almost definitley way late for me. I'm gnona need IV fluids to keep me going!
