In case you didn't hear (Which you most likely did, since everybody that I know of who reads this I called tonight), the Cubs won the NL Central tonight. I'm going to write that again, since it felt so good: The Cubs won the NL Central tonight. After a 6-0 beatdown of the Reds, led by the two high-priced guys, Alfonso Soriano and Carlos Zambrano, the Padres came through and beat the Brewers 6-3. A three game lead with two to play means it's all over, and the Cubs can rest their key guys the next two days to prepare for the PLAYOFFS. Soriano, D-Lee, Aramis, DeRosa, Jacque, Marmol, Dempster, Howery, Lilly, all of them will grab some bench and relax for the first time since the All-Star break.
